Welcoming Lily Zarrella

We’re thrilled to announce the addition of Lily Zarrella to the Innospark Ventures team as our new Director of Community & Platform. In this role, Lily will oversee our efforts in managing a robust network of entrepreneurs, industry experts, and firm advisors.

Our experiences backing early-stage founders make clear the myriad of challenges founders face when launching a company, including recruiting formidable team members, establishing a strong set of advisors, and forming close industry relationships. We’re excited to have Lily join these efforts across the firm and portfolio. As Matt Fates, a partner at Innospark notes, “Building a company often requires many contributors to lean in and help the founders and team to achieve their potential. Lily brings significant experience in assembling the right people to work together to overcome obstacles and drive important advancements. We are delighted that she will now be continuing this work as part of the Innospark team to benefit our firm and our portfolio companies.”

Lily comes to Innospark after recently serving as Deputy Chief of Staff to former Governor Charlie Baker and Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, where she worked from 2013–2016, then again from 2018–2023. Between her stints in the Baker Polito Administration, Lily was at Solamere Capital in Boston, where she helped to build a robust network of expert advisors and managed firmwide events. Lily was also a member of the 2014 Charlie Baker for Governor campaign staff after having graduated with a BA from Boston University.

In her spare time, Lily can be found adventure traveling, biking, and spending time with her husband Ted and dog Frankie in Boston’s South End.

Welcome to the team, Lily!
